Favorite Photo Gifts
With the holidays approaching and everyone scrambling to find the perfect gift with a personal touch, I always turn to photo gifts as a great way to share your travels with your friends and family. They help put a personal touch on something that someone can use, appreciate, and think of you. Here are some of my favorite choices:
Notebook: Who doesn’t need a lined notebook for shopping lists, ideas, or a journal? And why not make it personal with your photo on the front? Maybe it’s a beach photo from your last vacation to inspire serenity or maybe you want to remind your friend that she can do anything with a photo of the two of you on a long hike. Some websites offer notebooks with special paper inside including address book, daily planner, or birthday reminder pages.
Calendar: A calendar is one of those “gifts that keep on giving” and with photos from your own albums you can really be a part of someone’s life year-round. I gave calendars to my Mom and her sisters one year using my travel photos for each month and personal family photos on special days (birthdays, anniversaries, upcoming graduations, etc.) within the family. It was easy, fun, and functional!
Puzzles and Playing Cards: Those that are young and those that are young at heart all enjoy puzzles and playing cards, so using your photos to make your own are a great gift idea for anyone in your family. Everyone would prefer to put together a puzzle of Neuschwanstein castle taken by a friend than a puzzle of Neuschwanstein castle from someone they don’t even know.
There are plenty of websites available to make these photo gifts, but my favorites are Snapfish and Shutterfly.
