Breaking News: Eiffel Tower Closed Due to an Employee Strike
The Eiffel Tower in Paris, France is one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world and has had more than 180 million visitors over the years.
Visiting the Eiffel tower is almost always at the top of every Paris tourist’s list of things to do, but those currently in Paris may not have their dreams come true—the Eiffel Tower has been closed for the past two days. Employees are on strike demanding better work conditions and an increase in security at the popular tourist destination.
SETE, the managing company, has refused to comment and a visit to the Eiffel Tower’s official website makes no mention of the current issue—in fact, the published opening hours for the Eiffel Tower mentions that the famous landmark is open until midnight during Easter weekend.
There is no indication of when the Eiffel Tower will reopen.
